The DI Wire hosted a webinar with industry leaders, including Inland’s Chief Strategy Officer, Nati Kiferbaum, discussing the increasingly popular securitized 1031-to-721 exchange UPREIT investment programs.
“Looking at today, roughly 40% of the capital that has been raised year-to-date has been by pure play 721 DST [Delaware statutory trust] providers. And in terms of available equity, over 55% of the available product that’s out there minus what’s been sitting out there for more than 365 days is 721 DST product. It’s expanding rapidly. From our house view, it wouldn’t be crazy if you were sitting here in 2025 and one in every $2 was being raised by 721 DST providers.”
